With its simplified tax structure, Armenia is quickly becoming a hub for entrepreneurs in the tech, IT, and digital sectors. In this guide, we break down the top reasons to do business in Armenia and explain the key tax benefits you should know in 2024.

Who Must Submit a Tax Declaration?

By November 1, 2025, the following Armenian residents (excluding minors as of December 31, 2024) must submit their 2024 income tax declarations:

  • Those who were employed during 2024
  • Individuals who earned taxable income under civil law contracts
  • Public sector employees holding government or municipal positions under the Law on Public Service
  • Participants in commercial organizations that reported a gross income of 1 billion AMD or more in 2023
  • Individuals identified as beneficial owners of legal entities under AML/CFT laws
  • Individuals who received loans or borrowings of 20 million AMD or more in 2024

What and How to Declare

Declarations must be submitted via Armenia’s official tax platform:

Some fields are automatically pre-filled based on existing data submitted by tax agents. You’ll only need to complete or verify the remaining fields.

Not all income needs to be declared.
The tax authority allows for exemptions on certain non-taxable income types under 300,000 AMD (per transaction), such as:

  • Gifts or donations
  • Property transfers
  • Interest-free loans
  • One-time income

⚠️ The 300,000 AMD threshold applies per transaction, not cumulatively.

To submit your declaration, electronic identification and signature are required.
